| Description | In an attempt to mobilize fresh investments, the Egyptian Government has expressed intentions to soon offer almost 9.5 million M2 of land lots for sale to citizens & cooperative societies. Issue is sponsored by the Ministry of Housing & New Urban Societies. According to Eng. Mohamed Madbouli, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Societies Authority, the said land lots are allocated to housing cooperatives in Sixth of October City, Al Shorouk City, Al Obour City, New Minia City. Price per meter square reaches in some areas L.E. 65 [about $ 10]. Plan provides for settling payment over a 5 years period. Societies are requested to start construction immediately with units to be delivered to its members during two years. Issue remains in the quality of public utilities available for such lots. |
