| Description | A project to control industrial pollution in Alexandria seems in the pipeline & progressing in coordination with Alexandria Businessmen Society, Ministry of State for Environment Affairs & later on with the World Bank and other donors. A relevant project feasibility study is being prepared to assess the required investments to control & eliminate such pollution from industrial & petroleum projects in both Alexandria & Kafr El Dawar. Project targets to benefit from grants & soft loans extended by both the World Bank & the Finnish Government in that direction. Terms of finance include a World Bank soft loan plus 20 % non-refundable grant. Project provides for the rehabilitation of industrial waste treatment facilities & networks. |
