| Description | L.E. 490 million budget funds were allocated in 2004/2005 for adding 2,400 MVA capacities to the country energy substations network, for the rehabilitation of power transmission lines and for the securing of power supply to more than 20 million subscribers & households. According to Dr. Eng. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of EEHC - Egypt Electricity Holding Co., three new 220 kV substations are now built in New Cairo, Giza & Pyramids and other four 66 kV substations in Rabaa El Adwiya, Al Azhar, El Badrashin and the so - called Investors Zone (in Abu Rawash). Furthermore 12 existing substations are now being expanded within Greater Cairo area. (Above sends reasonably promising news to a wide variety of electrical feeder Industries). |
