| Description | Media reports have indicated that the Industry & Energy Committee at the People Assembly have recently reviewed two new petroleum concession agreements for ratification. They include an agreement with BP - British Petroleum, of the UK, covering 1,174 Km2 area at north Shedwan Zone on the Suez Gulf, to drill 4 wells during 9 years period under $ 20 million committed investments & $ 1 million signature bonus. They further include another agreement with Alex Opel Co., of Switzerland, covering 294 Km2 area at south Zeit Bay, also on the Suez Gulf, to drill 6 wells during 7 years period under $ 18 million committed investments & $ 1.1 million signature bonus. |
