| Description | Media reports have indicated that the 2004/ 2005 government budget has allocated up to L.E. 4.8 billion to cover its purchases of various supplies & operating consumables, obviously through tenders. Included are L.E. 1.1 billion for the maintenance of equipment, instruments, buildings, roads & bridges and L.E. 1.2 billion for raw materials & requisites for schools, hospitals & health care units. Also included are L.E. 707 million for transport & transportation allowances, L.E. 502 million for spare parts, water, fuel & lighting and L.E. 1.25 billion for stationary, packaging & printing cost, also for other consumable commodities and services. [Not included are the requirements of public agencies & public sector companies]. |
