| Description | According to Egypt Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Sameh Fahmy, the country consumption of natural gas has increased from 23.1 billion M3 in 2001 / 2002 to 31 billion M3 in 2003 / 2004 marking 34.2% increase. Worth indicating is that 62% of the consumption goes to the energy sector. Increase is also attributed to the corresponding increase to the number of vehicles converted to use natural gas, now put at 54,200 units served by 86 fuelling & conversion stations. (Not to overview increasing connection of households in different cities to the natural gas distribution networks). |
