| Description | EHCAAN - Egyptian Holing Co. for Airports & Air Navigation has invited eligible consultants to submit their expressions of interest in three contracts, part of the Country Airports Development Project under funding from the World Bank. The first pertains to the technical assistance for (preparing) the national Airports Master Plan. The main objective for the assignment is to produce a National Airport Master Plan for the next twenty years that will: (a) Provide for capacity extension nationwide, as required by traffic growth: (b) Guide Government policy in developing public - private partnerships to construct, manage and operate airports: (c) Define improvements needed in the regulatory framework that is consistent with the two above objectives, and: (d) Develop, test, provide and train EHCAAN with model for the National Airport Master Plan for future update. The second pertains to technical assistance for building Airport Management Capacities. The main objective for the assignment is to build management capacities to (a) Best match human resources to corporate plan requirements, (b) Revamp commercial functions to raise the caring capacity of airport companies. (c) Develop system and procedures for efficiently monitoring progress toward goals, as well as goal setting. The third pertains to technical assistance for the formulation of a liberalization plan for air transport. The main objective for the assignment is to specify the content and timeframe for implementing a policy of gradual Liberalization of air transport to, from, and within Egypt. All three contracts are expected to commence by the first quarter of 2005 with duration put at 16 months for the first contract, 12 months for the second & 7 months for the third. Interested consultants must provide evidence that they have carried out at least three similar assignments over the past ten years, each to be worth not less than (a) $ 300,000 for the first contract, (b) $ 500,000 for the second contract & (c) $ 100,000 for the third contract. Consultants will be selected according to the World Bank guidelines. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (using brochures or description of similar assignments & experiences, also staff skills etc.). Selected consultants should have strong & proven records in similar assignments & capable of demonstrating sufficient consultancy & operational capabilities to enable execute the needed tasks.
